The National Rock Garden will celebrate Australia's rich geological heritage in a beautiful parkland setting in the national capital. A permanent display will showcase the diversity of the rocks and minerals that contribute so significantly to the nation's landscapes, heritage and prosperity.

Originally quarried for use in NSW railways, Tarana Granite is an important monumental stone in NSW. It has been used in the Sydney Opera House and the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park in Sydney.
